Как сообщает РИА Новости, Роскосмос приостановил разработку новой ракеты «Русь-М». Об этом заявил глава ведомства Владимир Поповкин в своем выступлении в Госдуме.

 

По словам Владимира Поповкина, новая ракета Роскосмосу не нужна. Приоритетные на сегодняшний день задачи Роскосмос может выполнять при помощи старых ракет. Поэтому руководство страны приняло решение до поры до времени свернуть строительство ракеты-носителя «Русь-М».

 

Сейчас Федеральное космическое агентство сконцентрировано на строительстве космодрома «Восточный», где будут осуществляться запуски ракет-носителей «Союз». Окончательная судьба проекта «Русь-М» будет решена после этих запусков: руководство «Роскосмоса» определится, стоит ли продолжать эксплуатацию «Союзов» или же вернуться к разработкам «Руси».
