Боевые железнодорожные комплексы (БЖРК), которые в 2005 г. были сняты с дежурства и затем утилизированы, вновь могут быть введены в состав Ракетных войск стратегического назначения (РВСН). Об этом в интервью газете «Комсомольская правда» рассказал командующий РВСН Сергей Каракаев. По его словам, сегодня проводятся работы по возможному созданию этих комплексов, но окончательного решения до конца не принято.

 

В последнее время на страницах печати развернулась дискуссия относительно путей реформирования РВСН, которая носит острый и бескомпромиссный характер. Каждый из оппонентов использует при аргументации своей точки зрения тот или иной частный критерий оптимизации.

 

По мнению большинства военных экспертов более рациональным в качестве ответной меры на угрозы своей безопасности представляется выход России из договора по СНВ и создание вооружений, которые сейчас подлежат ограничениям. Например, воссоздание боевых железнодорожных ракетных комплексов охладило бы многие горячие заокеанские головы в намерении развернуть ЕвроПРО.
