Пистолет ЧЗ 100 создан фирмой ЧЗ в соответстии с самыми последними веяниями - он имеет полимерную рамку, УСМ только двойного действия, не имеет неавтоматических предохранителей. Механика пистолета - с коротким ходом ствола, запирание - по модифицированной Браунинговской схеме, через окно для экстракции гильз, расцепление ствола и затвора - снижением ствола.
