Steyr TMP - современный компактный ПП. Он построен на основе автоматики с коротким ходом ствола (аналогично большинству совремнных боевых пистолетов). Запирание осуществляется поворотом ствола. Рукоятка перезаряжания расположена на затыльнике оружия и неподвижна при стрельбе.
Корпус ПП изготовлен из высокопрочных полимеров заодно с основной рукояткой и передней рукояткой для удержания. ТМР не имеет приклада и из него можно вести огонь как с одной, так и с двух рук.
ТМП может оснащаться глушителем, лазерным целеуказателем.
Как сообщается, ТМП является очень удобным оружием, хорошо контролируемым при автоматической стрельбе.
