Пистолет-пулемет Vigneron M2 был разработан в начале 1950х годов и в 1953 году был принят на вооружение Бельгийской армии. Выпуск этого оружия был налажен бельгийской компанией Precision Liegoise SA. Пистолет-пулемет Vigneron M2 широко использовался бельгийскими войсками в Конго. С конструктивной точки зрения, этот образец не представлял какого-либо особого интереса.
Пистолет-пулемет Vigneron M2 использует автоматику со свободным затвором, стрельба ведется с открытого затвора. Режимы огня - одиночные выстрелы и автоматический, переводчик / предохранитель расположен слева на пистолетной рукоятке. В автоматическом режиме сохранялась возможность ведения огня одиночными выстрелами при неполном нажатии на спусковой крючок. Рукоятка взведения затвора расположена слева на ствольной коробке и при стрельбе остается неподвижной. Приклад выдвижной, выполнен из стальной проволоки. Прицельные приспособления фиксированные, нерегулируемые, выставлены на дальность стрельбы 50 метров. В дульной части ствола, позади основания мушки, выполнены два отверстия, служащих компенсаторами подброса ствола при стрельбе.
