Пистолет-пулемет Gevarm D4 был разработан французской компанией Gevarm в 1950х годах, и выпускался в незначительных количествах. Он состоял на вооружении французской полиции и продавался на экспорт.

Пистолет-пулемет Gevarm D4 использовал автоматику со свободным затвором. Стрельба велась с открытого затвора, одиночными выстрелами и очередями. Предохранитель - переводчик режимов огня располагался слева, над спусковой скобой. На пистолетной рукоятке спереди рсположен дополнительный автоматический предохранитель. Рукоятка взведения затвора также расположена слева. Ствольная коробка, корпус УСМ и короткий кожух ствола выполнены из листовой стали. Приклад выдвижной, из стальной проволоки. Прицел открытый, с Г-образным перекидным целиком, имеющим установки на 50 или 100 метров по дальности стрельбы.
