Впервые российская военная техника будет поставлена в Аргентину. Два российских вертолета Ми-171Е, заказанные ВВС Аргентины, прибудут в страну в текущем году, сообщает Центр анализа мировой торговли оружием (ЦАМТО). Контракт на поставку двух вертолетов Ми-171Е для ВВС Аргентины был подписан «Рособоронэкспортом» в конце августа 2010 года в Буэнос-Айресе. Стоимость двух вертолетов оценивается в 20 млн евро.
Это первая закупка Аргентиной военной техники российского производства. Российские специалисты окажут также аргентинской стороне помощь в создании инфраструктуры обслуживания и подготовке специалистов. Первая группа аргентинских летчиков и техников уже проходит подготовку в России. Планируется, что вертолеты Ми-171Е будут использоваться ВВС Аргентины для выполнения поисково-спасательных задач, а также снабжения аргентинских станций в Антарктике.
