Официальный сайт Министерства обороны Российской Федерации сообщает, что в Сухопутных войсках (СВ) формируется поэтапная, многоуровневая система отбора и подготовки снайперов в связи с введением в состав общевойсковых соединений снайперских подразделений. Все снайперы будут проходить специальную подготовку в учебных центрах с периодичностью один раз в 3-4 года под руководством профессиональных инструкторов.
