В России в результате перевооружения появилась первая бригада оперативно-тактических ракетных комплексов "Искандер". Об этом, как сообщает "Интерфакс", заявил начальник пресс-службы Западного военного округа полковник Андрей Бобрун. Первая ракетная бригада "Искандеров" входит в состав ЗВО. По словам Бобруна, в настоящее время ракетная бригада принимает участие в тактических учениях на полигоне в Ленинградской области.
В перспективе "Искандер" должен заменить в войсках устаревший тактический ракетный комплекс "Точка", стоящий на вооружении с 1970-х годов. "По сравнению с предшественником 'Искандер' имеет преимущества по всем показателям, таким как дальность и точность стрельбы, масса боевой части, количество боеприпасов, скорость передвижения комплекса, как по дорогам с асфальтовым покрытием, так и по пересеченной местности", - отметил Бобрун.
