В прессе появились новые подробности авиакатастрофы бомбардировщика Су-24, который потерпел крушение на военной базе «Украинка» в Амурской области 20 октября 2011 г. Экипаж самолета, состоящий из пилота и штурмана, в момент аварии катапультироваться не успел — оба погибли.
«Интерфакс» сообщает, что возможной причиной катастрофы могло стать повреждение топливного бака самолета сломанной стойкой шасси, что и вызвало возгорание. По данным «Интерфакса», такая информация поступила из Следственного Комитета РФ.
По факту аварии уже возбуждено уголовное дело по статье "Нарушение правил полетов или подготовки к ним". В настоящее время военной прокуратурой проводится проверка: следователи выясняют, сколько часов налетал экипаж бомбардировщика и потерпевший крушение самолет после ремонта.
