Российская делегация во главе с заместителем директора Федеральной службы по военно-техническому сотрудничеству Анатолием Пунчуком 9 ноября 2011 г. посетила г. Хантсвилл (штат Алабама, США), где состоялась торжественная церемония вручения Российской Стороне Сертификата о признании Министерством обороны США процедур оценки лётной годности военно-транспортных вертолётов, действующих в Российской Федерации, сообщила пресс-служба ФСВТС России.
Этому событию предшествовала серия длительных переговоров в России и США. Переговоры проходили между специалистами из авиационного инженерного директората Минобороны США и представителями России:
- МО РФ
- ФСВТС России
- ОАО «Рособоронэкспорт»
- ОАО «Вертолёты России»
- ОАО «МВЗ им. М.Л. Миля"
- ОАО «Казанский вертолётный завод»
