В течение ближайшего месяца на боевое дежурство в Тейковском ракетном соединении (Ивановская область) заступит второй полк мобильного ракетного комплекса "Ярс", оснащенного межконтинентальной баллистической ракетой (МБР) РС-24 с разделяющейся головной частью.
По словам официального представителя Ракетных войск стратегического назначения (РВСН) полковника Вадима Коваля, "сегодня в Тейковское соединение прибывает командующий РВСН генерал-лейтенант Сергей Каракаев с целью контроля хода перевооружения соединения на новые типы ракетных комплексов".
"В 2011 году в Тейковском ракетном соединении завершено перевооружение на новейший комплекс "Ярс" первого по счету ракетного полка, - напомнил Коваль. - Также в текущем году получены техника и организованы работы по подготовке к перевооружению на "Ярс" второго по счету ракетного полка Тейковского соединения, который к концу года планируется поставить на боевое дежурство в составе двух ракетных дивизионов".
