25 ноября 2011 года на территории ОАО "Судостроительная фирма "Алмаз" прошли торжественные мероприятия по спуску на воду патрульного сторожевого корабля (ПСКр) нового поколения проекта 22460 (заводской номер 502) и закладке патрульного судна ледового класса проекта 22120 (заводской номер 051), сообщает пресс-служба СФ "Алмаз".
Патрульный сторожевой корабль, созданный на ОАО "СФ Алмаз" по заказу федеральной погранслужбы ФСБ России, получил название "Бриллиант". Проект 22460 выполнен "Северным проектно-конструкторским бюро" (Северное ПКБ) (г. Санкт- Петербург).
Корабль будет нести службу на Черном море под Новороссийском, а также будет задействован в обеспечении безопасности Олимпиады Сочи-2014.
ПСКр "Бриллиант" также предназначен для охраны государственных границ, территориальных вод, борьбы с терроризмом и пиратством.
