Экипажи атомных подводных лодок (АПЛ) Северного флота в 2011 г. произвели 7 пусков межконтинентальных баллистических ракет (МБР) морского базирования из подводного положения, в том числе 3 пуска в рамках государственных летно-конструкторских испытаний МБР морского базирования «Булава», сообщила пресс-служба МО РФ.
«Все пуски межконтинентальных баллистических ракет морского базирования, произведенные в 2011 г. с ракетных подводных крейсеров стратегического назначения, входящих в состав Северного флота, признаны успешными, — подчеркнул командующий СФ вице-адмирал Владимир Королёв. — В 2011 г. таких пусков было спланировано 4. Это говорит о высокой степени эффективности и надежности оружия ядерного сдерживания, находящегося у нас на вооружении».
