Катарские силы внутренней безопасности (ISF) недавно заказали 22 машины HIGUARD (класса MRAP) и 5 легких бронированных машин Sherpa APC у французской компании Renault Trucks Defense (RTD), передает Army Guide.
Поставка машин запланирована на 2012-2013 гu.
Машина HIGUARD создана на шасси средней тактической машины Sherpa с колесной формулой 6x6. HIGUARD может обеспечить очень высокий уровень защиты в некоторых конфигурациях и перевозить до двенадцати полностью экипированных бойца. Его сдерживающий силуэт делает его очень подходящим для использования правоохранительными органами.
Версия легкой бронированной машины Sherpa APC для обеспечения безопасности и правопорядка может вместить до 10 чловек и выступать в качестве мобильного командного пункта. Sherpa APC — это вариант бронетранспортера на шасси общего семейства Sherpa.
