В 2014 г. Военно-Морской Флот (ВМФ) получит в свой боевой состав головной фрегат проекта 11356 "Адмирал Григорович», который в настоящее время строится на судостроительном заводе "Янтарь» (г. Калининград). Всего планируется построить 3 фрегата проекта 11356.
18 декабря 2011 г. предприятие приступило к строительству второго фрегата этого проекта «Адмирал Эссен», сообщило управление пресс-службы и информации МО РФ. В кооперации по производству фрегатов серии 11356 принимают участие более 130 российских предприятий.
