Назначение
Танк применяется для прорыва обороны противника, развития тактического успеха в оперативных и стратегических операциях, разгрома противника после использования ядерных ударов, увеличения размаха операций и достижения целей в сравнительно короткое время, а также повышения активности и устойчивости обороны в тактическом и оперативном маштабах.
Танк Т-90С имеет малый вес, малые габариты, мощное вооружение и высокую мобильность.
Технические особенности
Танк Т-90С сохраняет классическую компоновочную схему, при которой основное вооружение размещено во вращающейся башне, силовая установка и трансмиссия - в кормовой части корпуса, а экипаж - раздельно: командир танка и наводчик - в боевом отделении, механик-водитель - в отделении управления.
Для танков Т-90С характерны:
