Назначение
• Вытаскивание застрявших машин
• Самовытаскивание при застревании
• Буксирование управляемых и неуправляемых машин в различных дорожных условиях, в том числе и на плаву
• Проведение ремонтных работ (включая электро-сварочно-режущие работы по стали и алюминиевым сплавам) при подготовке машин к эвакуации
• Проведение грузоподъемных работ по полуподъему машин при эвакуации или ремонте с заменой узлов и агрегатов (в том числе башен и силовых блоков), а также по замене собственного силового блока
• Движение с грузом на крюке (включая башню) в пределах ремонтной площадки
• Транспортирование запасных частей машин (включая силовой блок)
• Выполнение землеройных работ при оборудовании ремонтных площадок, снятие грунта при подготовке машин к вытаскиванию
Технические особенности
Два водомета обеспечивают машине скорость на плаву 10 км/ч и отличную управляемость. Водоотражающий щиток и телескопическая воздухозаборная труба обеспечивают БРЭМ-Л уверенное движение на плаву при волнении в 3 балла, а также позволяют выполнять на плаву буксирование машины легкой категории по массе. БРЭМ-Л уверенно выходит на берег при уровне прибойной волны в 3 балла, может непрерывно долгое время находиться в воде как при включенном, так и при выключенном двигателе, при этом все бортовые системы остаются работоспособными.
Созданная на базе шасси боевой машины пехоты БМП-3, БРЭМ-Л обладает высокой унификацией с БМП-3 и аналогичными характеристиками подвижности, защищенности, живучести и эргономичности. Все это делает БРЭМ-Л одним из лучших образцов ремонтно-эвакуационных машин легкой категории по массе.
