Орбитальная группировка российской навигационной системы ГЛОНАСС впервые обеспечила получение навигационного сигнала в глобальном масштабе, теперь данные могут получать пользователи по всему миру, сообщил 7 декабря 2011 г. пресс-секретарь предприятия "Российские космические системы" (РКС) Александр Зубахин.
"С 9 утра по московскому времени введен в эксплуатацию первый из трех навигационных космических аппаратов, запущенных 4 ноября 2011 г. Таким образом, в составе орбитальной группировки системы ГЛОНАСС в настоящее время работает 24 спутника, используемых по целевому назначению, что обеспечивает стопроцентный охват территории всего земного шара", - отметил А. Зубахин.
