Т-55, средний танк
История
Танк Т-55 разрабатывался под обозначением «Объект 155» конструкторским бюро под руководством Л.Н. Карцева в Нижнем Тагиле. Он был принят на вооружение приказом Министра обороны СССР от 24.05.1958 г. Серийное производство танка Т-55 осуществлялось в Харькове, Нижнем Тагиле и Омске с 1958 по 1962 гг.
В этом танке были внедрены следующие основные новшества: повышена мощность двигателя с 520 до 580 л.с., применены баки-стеллажи для увеличения запаса возимого топлива и боекомплекта, установлен воздушный компрессор для более надежного пуска двигателя, сохранения ресурса аккумуляторных батарей и исключения необходимости заменять отработанные воздушные баллоны на заряженные, введены система ПАЗ, термодымовая аппаратура ТДА, создававшая дымовую завесу за счет испарения топлива, впрыскиваемого в выхлопной коллектор, автоматическая система ППО «Роса», гидропневмоочистка смотрового прибора механика-водителя и планетарный бортовой редуктор.
Оригинальным компоновочным решением являлась установка в носовой части корпуса двух баков-стеллажей, апробированных на экспериментальном танке Т-54М. В них размещалось 18 выстрелов к пушке и 300 л топлива. Благодаря плотной компоновке удалось увеличить суммарную емкость забронированных топливных баков до 680 л, что составляло 50% общего возимого запаса топлива. Кроме того, был увеличен боекомплект пушки с 34 до 43 выстрелов.
Оборудование
Броневая защита претерпела незначительные изменения за счет некоторого уменьшения толщины броневых листов кормы корпуса. Двигатель В-55 имел обогреваемый картер и оснащался масляной центрифугой, двухступенчатым воздухоочистителем ВТИ-4 и гидромуфтой привода генератора.
Танк имел систему противоатомной защиты, термодымовую аппаратуру и автоматическую систему ППО трехкратного действия с более эффективным, чем углекислота, огнетушащим составом «3,5».
Усовершенствованное оборудование для подводного вождения обеспечивало преодоление водных преград шириной до 1000 м. В трансмиссии танка использовались комбинированные двухрядные бортовые редукторы, в которых один ряд был планетарным.
Начиная с 1960 г. в конструкцию танка были введены изменения, повышающие его технические характеристики. К ним относились дублирующий гидропневматический привод управления 19-дисковым главным фрикционом, установка призменного прибора у наводчика и воздушно-жидкостная система очистки смотровых приборов механика-водителя.
В 1965 г. были введены гусеницы с РМШ, и поэтому была изменена конструкция съемных венцов ведущих колес. С 1969 г. на танке стал устанавливаться зенитный пулемет ДШКМ, а в 1974 г. был введен лазерный дальномер КДТ-1 и прицел наводчика ТШС-32ПМ.
Вооружение
Основным вооружением Т-55 являлась 100-мм пушка Д-10Т. Длина ствола орудия — 56 калибров. Это орудие было разработано в конструкторском бюро артиллерийского завода № 9 под руководством Ф. Ф. Петрова для СУ-100. Бронебойный снаряд её 100-мм пушки был способен пробить вертикальный лист брони толщиной 125 мм на расстоянии 2000 м. После Второй Мировой войны его улучшенные варианты состояли на вооружении в течение сорока лет после разработки исходной модификации. Дополнительное вооружение состоит из спаренного с пушкой 7,62 мм пулемета расположенного справа от пушки.
Модификации
• Т-55 (объект 155), серийное производство с 1958 по 1962 г. Основная компоновка идентична Т-54. Стабилизатор СТП-2, двигатель В-55, боекомплект 43 выстрела, система ПАЗ, ППО, новые ИК-приборы, усовершенствована трансмиссия, запас хода до 500 км, зенитный пулемет снят.
• ТО-55 (объект 482), огнеметный танк обр. 1968 г
• Т-55А (объект 155А), противорадиационная защита (подбой и надбой), снят курсовой пулемет. Производился с 1963 по 1979 гг. С 1970 г. на танке устанавливался зенитный пулемет ДШКМ, с 1975 г. – лазерный дальномер КДТ-1.
• Т-55М (объект 155М), модернизированный Т-55 в 1983 г. Комбинированная броня, комплекс управляемого вооружения 9К116 «Бастион» и СУО «Волна», двигатель В-55У (620 л.с.), гусеница с РМШ, на стволе пушки термокожух, дымовые гранатометы. Боевая масса 40,5 т.
• Т-55М-1, Т-55М с двигателем В-46-5М (690 л.с.).
• Т-55М-2, образца 1983 г. Экспортный вариант Т-55 с бортовыми экранами и защитой от напалма.

Боевое применение
Танки Т-54/55 приняли участие в значительном количестве конфликтов начиная с 1950 годов и настоящее время используются правительственными войсками в ходе конфликта в Афганистане и также в ходе гражданских войн в Сомали и Шри-Ланке (китайские варианты). Т-54 символически закончил Войну во Вьетнаме. В 1975 году ожесточенные действия между войсками Северного и южного Вьетнама закончились поражением Южного Вьетнама. Боевых действий в самом Сайгоне почти не было. Около полудня 30 апреля северовьетнамский танк Т-54 (бортовой номер 843) протаранил ворота Дворца независимости (бывшей резиденции президентов Южного Вьетнама) и встал на лужайке перед ней. В тот же день во дворце состоялась церемония подписания капитуляции Южного Вьетнама.
Особенности применения за рубежом
Танки Т-55 состоят на вооружении армий свыше сорока стран. В таких государствах, как Ирак, Израиль, Египет, Румыния и Финляндия, проводилась их глубокая модернизация. В 1989 году на выставке в Багдаде был продемонстрирован модернизированный иракский танк Т-55, вооруженный 125-мм гладкоствольной пушкой 2А46, которая ранее устанавливалась на советских машинах Т-72А. В связи с применением автомата заряжания экипаж машины состоял из трех человек. В кормовой части высота башни была увеличена для размещения механизма подъема кассет автомата заряжания. Танк имел усиленную броневую защиту башни и передней части корпуса.
Борта корпуса защищены противокумулятивными экранами. С каждой стороны башни смонтированы по четыре дымовых гранатомета. Масса модернизированного танка возросла до 40 тонн. Начиная с 1977 года в Румынии на Т-55 устанавливали лазерный дальномер и баллистический вычислитель китайского производства, дизельный двигатель мощностью 600 л.с., бортовые экраны и 12,7-м м зенитный пулемет. В ходовой части применялась шестиопорная схема с двумя поддерживающими катками со стороны каждого борта. На стволе пушки монтировался теплозащитный кожух. В Финляндии на Т-55 устанавливают лазерный дальномер, пассивные приборы ночного видения, теплозащитный кожух ствола пушки, бортовые экраны, дымовые гранатометы западногерманского типа и 12,7-мм зенитный пулемет. В Израиле на трофейных танках Т-55 вместо 100-мм используется 105-мм нарезная пушка, новые система управления огнем, стабилизатор и приборы ночного видения. В Египте на Т-55 мощность двигателя В-55 увеличена до 700 л.с. и установлена трансмиссия германской фирмы "Ренк".
Состояние
Учитывая то обстоятельство, что Т-55 до сих пор находится на вооружении армий более чем пятидесяти государств в количестве нескольких десятков тысяч единиц, в настоящее время конструкторским бюро транспортного машиностроения в г. Омске разработана программа глубокой модернизации Т-55. Проведение мероприятий по модернизации машины в соответствии с этой программой позволяет при небольших затратах повысить боевую эффективность танка-ветерана до уровня новейших танков по всем основным показателям: огневой мощи, защищенности и подвижности. Неизменным остается только один показатель этой поистине уникальной машины - высочайшая надежность.
