Назначение
Предназначен для монтажа и транспортировки специального вооружения, перевозки личного состава, стрелковоминомeтного вооружения, боеприпасов и других армейских грузов в зоне соприкосновения с противником, розыска, сбора и эвакуации раненых с поля боя, буксировки и перевозки батальонных и полковых средств артиллерийского вооружения и специальных прицепов, для разведки и связи в условиях труднопроходимой местности Крайнего Севера, Сибири и Дальнего Востока, а также в горных районах и пустынной местности. Боевой расчет машины – 10–12 человек в составе: командир машины, механик-водитель, командир отделения и семь-девять мотострелков или десантников. Intended for mounting and haulage of special armament, transportation of personnel, firearms, mortars, munitions
and other military cargoes in enemy contact areas, search, collect and evacuate casualties from battlefield, tow and
transport the battalion and regiment level artillery pieces and special trailers as well as support reconnaissance and
communication in conditions of adverse terrain in the Extreme North, Siberian and Far Eastern regions, as well as
on highlands and in deserts. The vehicle’s crew consists of 10 to 12 persons, including the vehicle commander, the driver mechanic, the squad leader and seven to ten motorized-rifle or assault troops. In accordance with application and arrangement of mechanisms and components, the vehicle has a steel welded displacing
armored hull comprising three compartments:
