БРДМ-2, Бронированная разведывательно-дозорная машина
История
Бронированная разведывательно-дозорная машина БРДМ-2 являлась дальнейшим развитием БРДМ. Она была разработана конструкторским бюро ОАО «Горьковского автомобильного завода», во главе с В.А. Дедковым и серийно производилась с 1965 по 1989 год. Машина была принята на вооружение в 1966 году.
Компоновка
БРДМ-2 имела схему общей компоновки с передним расположением отделения управления и задним размещением силовой установки. Такая компоновочная схема по сравнению со схемой компоновки БРДМ позволила улучшить обзорность местности с рабочего места водителя и повысить водоходные качества машины, так как установка двигателя в задней части корпуса обеспечивала стабильный дифферент на корму. В то же время ведущие мосты и карданные передачи к ним находились под днищем корпуса, тем самым нарушая его обтекаемую форму.
Машина имела закрытый герметичный корпус, на котором крепились все агрегаты и механизмы. Он изготовлялся из броневых листов толщиной 10 мм и 6 мм.
Огневая мощь
В качестве вооружения используется установка БПУ-1 со спаренными пулеметами 14,5-мм КПВТ и 7,62-мм ПКТ, смонтированная во вращающейся конической башне. Пулеметная установка имеет перископический прицел ПП-61А и ручной привод наведения. Горизонтальный угол обстрела 180° , вертикальный угол обстрела от -5° до +30°.
В ночное время механику-водителю устанавливается прибор ночного видения ТВНО-2Б, а командиру машины вместо дневного прибора наблюдения ТПКУ-2 - ночной ТКН-1С. В качестве средства связи использовалась радиостанция Р-123.
Подвижность
На машине установлен карбюраторный 8-цилиндровый двигатель ГАЗ-41V-8, мощностью 140 л.с. Удельная мощность – 20 л.с./т. .Трансмиссия механическая. Ходовая часть выполнена по колесной формуле 4х4. Дополнительные пневматические колеса, располагаютя в средней части корпуса по два на каждом борту. Они опускались и поднимались при преодолении окопов шириной до 1,2 м с помощью гидроподъемников подобно шасси самолета. Дополнительные колеса выполняются ведущими с механическим приводом от трансмиссии. Самоблокирующиеся кулачковые дифференциалы обоих мостов по устройству были одинаковыми с аналогичными узлами грузового автомобиля ГАЗ-66. Водомет и привод на ведущие колеса могли работать при необходимости одновременно.
На воде машина перемещается при помощи установленного в корме водометного движителя. Четырехлопастный винт засасывает воду через приемный патрубок, расположенный в днище, и выбрасывает ее через отверстие в кормовом листе корпуса. Во время движения на суше это отверстие закрывалось специальной бронированной заслонкой. Задний ход обеспечивался изменением направления вращения винта. Для поворота на плаву служили водяные рули, расположенные в выпускном патрубке водометного движителя. Привод к ним сблокирован с приводом управления колесами. Безопасность движения на воде обеспечивали волноотражательный щит (при езде на суше он устанавливается в нижнее положение для улучшения обзора) и высокопроизводительная водооткачивающая система.
Ходовая часть принципиально не отличалась от ходовой части БРДМ, за исключением подвески, в которой использовались телескопические гидроамортизаторы вместо рычажно-поршневых. В передней части корпуса была смонтирована лебедка с тяговым усилием на тросе 4000 кгс. Дополнительное оборудование машины включало навигационную аппаратуру ТНА-2, систему ПАЗ, отопитель.

9П148 - боевая машина ПТРК 9К111 "Фагот"/9К113 "Конкурс".
БРДМ-2РХ - машина химической разведки. Оснащается приборами химической и радиационной разведки: войсковым прибором химической разведки ВПХР, автоматическим газоанализатором ГСА-12, радиометром-рентгенметром ДП-5А, рентгенметром ДП-3Б, а также приспособлением для установки знаков ограждения и артиллерийским дегазационным комплектом АДК. Для определения направления ветра предназначались 9 ручных дымовых гранат РДГ-2. В комплект специального оборудования также входит шесть 40-мм реактивных сигналов химической тревоги СХТ.
