Назначение
Используется для ведения глубокой разведки и диверсионных операций. Машина создана в нескольких вариантах, учитывающих различные физико-географические и климатические условия ее применения. Модульный принцип формирования бортового оборудования позволяет по заявке заказчика в широких пределах изменять состав средств вооружения, обнаружения и связи.
Универсальный комплекс вооружения позволяет использовать машину в качестве эффективного противотанкового и зенитного средства. Конструкция машины обеспечивает малую заметность в радиолокационном, тепловом и оптическом диапазонах частот. На ней установлен принципиально новый многоканальный оптико-электронный комплекс, обеспечивающий круглосуточное обнаружение, автоматическую селекцию и сопровождение движущихся целей, определение дальности до цели в лазерном и оптическом диапазонах частот. Передача полученных разведданных на командный пункт осуществляется в автоматическом режиме.
Машина оборудована системой предупреждения и защиты от лазерного облучения, телевизионной системой водителя. Система обнаруживает, распознает, осуществляет селекцию и автоматически сопровождает по угловым координатам наземные и воздушные цели. Определение дальности до взятой на сопровождение цели производится оптическим или лазерным дальномером. Высокоточная система навигации, включающая приемник спутниковой системы определения своего местоположения (ГЛО-НАСС/GPS), позволяет вычислять точные координаты целей и передавать их по скоростной линии кодовой связи на пункт боевого управления. Помимо этого, предусмотрена возможность установки аппаратуры радио- и радиотехнической разведки и РЭБ. При этом в состав экипажа, состоящего из трех человек, включается офицер-разведчик.

The RDM-2T patrol and reconnaissance vehicle (PRV) is designed to carry out deep reconnaissance missions and sabotage operations. It is available in several versions adapted for operation in different geographical and climatic conditions. The modular architecture of its on-board equipment permits the manufacturer to vary the weapons suite, target detection equipment and communications facilities carried by the vehicle in a range to meet customer requirements.
